Activating BIOS options by Windows program
Hi, we're using several Optiplex Systems at business with nightly patch management. Sadly the new GX745 (and as far as I remeber even the 620 before) have the BIOS "remote wake up" (WOL) option disabled by default. Does an tool exist to change these settings (and maybe enabling EIST) from Windows? Or any other suggestions to save my sneakers?

That's the way we do, when we unpack and image. But sometimes we forget it and recognize it when it runs by day but could not be awaked by night for patching. If there would be a programm, we could find a way to run that one time when the computer is switched on by user and so spend less time walking around.217

I'm not aware of any software that allows you to change BIOS settings on a PC once Windows is running, either on that PC or remotely.
Could you add some small app to your image that runs once, the first time it boots on a new PC to remind you to change BIOS settings?
Or look at it as an excuse to go for a walk. ;)
