Having the same issue. Had my headset for about 6 months as well.

I have been having the exact same issues. Headset audio that I hear starts getting fuzzy and distorted and people hear me the same fuzzy and distorted way for a few seconds. Sometimes it resolves itself but more often than not it disconnects and I hear, "Connected" and this happens often.. Probably every 2-3 minutes I'm using the headset. I too have tried updating all software and firmware with the Command Center as well as each peripheral, moving the USB receiver dongle to other USB ports, plugged in, not plugged in. Nothing has fixed it. Would appreciate some sort of attention to this issue.

Your headset drivers are corrupted most likely. What you will want to do is uninstall the drivers for your headset. Then remove the device in the Device Manager restart you machine then reinstall the headset like it is the first time to use them and it will clear the issue out in 2 minutes. 

I came here looking for answers.... Sitting with the same issue and really don't want to replace the headset but I also see there is no fix for this.

Also reinstalling the drivers don't work as I have redone windows multiple times and the issue still persists.
