COA Sticker Problem - DELL AARON?
I began the process of converting one of our departments to Vista. The physical software upgrade went great, but as I attempted to peel off the sticker to place on the machine...uh...
The sticker is stuck the the cardboard....right above the sticker that says you must apply this sticker to the machine to validate the license.
I as the licensing specialist for our office certainly prefer to have the license phyically on the machine, so I am not happy. Anyone have suggestions?
Dell is telling me there is nothing they can do. FYI: All other OEM's have there sticker on the outside of the platic wrap so it can be removed and stuck to the machine.
And totally off topic, why do the COA's for Vista have a copyright date of 2005???

Interesting...upon inspection of the 5 I have here...4 out of the 5 appear not to have the backs...the 1 was definitely different, and did peel off...justanotherdayi

I thought my Vista upgrade COA was stuck to the cardboard, but upon closer inspection I saw that it was two layers: The COA stuck to a protective backing, which was itself stuck to the cardboard. I separated the COA from the protective backing and all was well...jsullivan1

100% certain that these don't have the backs. If I peel, the label is starting to self destruct (the security feature) and I am ripping card board. Anyone else check theres?jsullivan1

Hmm...guess they took this seriously. Received 3 phone calls, and by Monday afternoon I am promised resolution.
