Computer locks up when switching users
We have three users on our 8400 with XP Media. Many times, when switching from one user to another, the computer completely locks up and we can do nothing except turn it off and than back on again. This can't be good for the computer but what else can we do?

We experienced the same problem. It was resolved by updating the video driver. Visit the Windows update web site.
Large wallpaper images will really slow down the process -- so if you want something really fancy, be prepared to wait a while to switch users -- You may even need to reboot

Hi,
I have the same problem as you do. I was searching for help and came across your message. Did you ever get this problem resolved. I have searched microsoft and dell for maybe a "patch" but was unsuccessful.
I would really appreciate a response.
