Core 2 Duo

I reloaded my E1505 with WIN XP PRO from Media Center.  Are there any changes needed to be made to any configuration/registry settings to take advantage of the Core 2 Duo chips in the E1505?

You shouldn't have to do anything. Dual core should be enabled in the BIOS. Check in task manager to see if you see two CPU graphs.

You can get CPUZ here: http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpu-z-137.zip

It is a very nice program to have around. It will also show you the current CPU clock speed.

ok i´ll try the link you gave, but to tell you guys the truth i recently bought an inspiron 6400 and the sales guy told me that the processor was the core 2 duo but i´m not really sure... i mean i have seen the system information but i guess is not enough for me.
    thanx you guys.
