Frequent Requests to access the internet

My ZonaAlarm firewall is constantly alerting me to program requests to access the internet. One of the most unusual is "Internet Explorer is trying to act as a Server" (or something like that). Why would IE act as a server (I assume that means something like letting other people tap into it like P2P programs?)

Anyone know?

What details does ZoneAlarm give you when it says IE is trying to act as a server?  Does it give you which IP your computer is trying to connect to?  There are a lot of things on your PC that will access a 'net connection if one is there.  I've always found ZoneAlarm to be somewhat annoying in that regard until you get it set up for how you use your PC.

Are you using a router at all?  If so why bother with a software firewall in addition to the Windows Firewall?  I find the Windows Firewall does an excellent job and my router blocks the outside folks.
