What OS are you running, and how much RAM do you have and how much free disk space do you have?

    Hi,
It can mean that your system is really out of memory.
It can also mean that you donot have enough space on your hard drive.
It can also mean that your computer may have a virus on it, which is causing the problem,
So first of all try these steps & report back on results pls:

-Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then
    double-click System.
Click the Advanced tab, click Performance Options, click
Change, set the "Initial Size" and the "Maximum Size" values for the paging file to 0 (zero), and then restart your computer.
Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click System.
Click the Advanced tab, click Performance Options, click Change, reset the "Initial Size" and the "Maximum Size" values to the recommended values for Windows XP, and then restart your computer.

    Two more possible causes

Either you do not have enough RAM,or your Page File is not big enough.

    1. Win XP needs a bare minimum of 256MB just to get along. For best results you should have at least 512MB RAM. This could cause the problem.

    2. Another cause--the size of the Page File .
Start/Right Click My Computer/Properties/Advanced/Performance/Settings/Advanced/Virtual Memory/Change. Set both the Initial and Maximum values for Paging File to 1.5 x RAM Click SET and reboot.

If you have not got enough RAM you will get that message again especially if you are doing a few things at once.

    arvn4u,

When you upgraded your RAM you should have increased the size of your Page File too.  Page File should be 1.5 x RAM.

Change the settings to 768MB for both initial size and maximum size.  Click "Set" and reboot.

Hopefuly that will fix your problem
