Wondering if anyone has been experiencing the same problems as myself. Having had my Dell Dimension 9200 about two weeks I'm not impressed with the media center software.  I have been having problems with both Audio and Video, it seems like for no reason what so ever it just starts playing files fast, both video and audio. I started to notice this problem with recorded video files recorded through the TV tuner, and now it is doing the same with wav and MP3 files, it just seems to skip into fast forward. Sometimes it will stop if i minimize and restore media center but at other times i have to exit the application and re-start it and on occasions i have had to re-boot the computer completely. I have also found if you return to one of the menus like Recorded TV while the recorded file is playing fast and move the mouse up and down quickly over the list of recorded programs it will play at normal speed until you stop moving the mouse then it just goes fast again.

 

I have posted this problem on the Hauppauge forum when having problems with the recorded TV and had a reply "its not the card really, its MCE playing silly buggers with the decoder" Now its doing the same thing with the Audio when playing WAV and MP3 files. The guy a Hauppauge suggested "you could try reinstalling the decoder or using an alternative decoder" but which decoders and how do i re-install them, or is there a patch or update that fixes this problem throughout the system.
