Messed up my computer REAL bad...
heres the short story.. I tried to dl a program off limewire.. started getting pop ups CONSTANTLY.. and limewire kept popping up every 2 secs. downloaded ad-aware, spy bot and ran nortan. then i went to my registry thing.. you know the regedit thing? i went in there and deleted some stuff that i probably shouldnt have. now the ads are gone, limewire dosent pop up.. but since deleting those things, whenever i try to open a program on my comp, i get a error saying "windows cannot open this file... blah blah" i went in my recycle bin to retreive the things i deleted.. but theyre not there.
does anyone know how to fix this? i even went to the system restore thing but even THAT gets that "windows cannot open this file" error msg.
pleeease help :smileysad:

If you have a Windows install CD you can try,
1. Start> Run and type SFC /scannow
2. Repair install, instructions below.
3. Clean install.

Contact Dell at one of the links in this post and request an XP reinstallation CD.
Once you have that, go here.
