Downloaded sp2 yesterday. I have no problem with Dell Solution Center. Works just like before sp2..  Someone else may give you some tips soon..

Cornflakes-Interesting. I e-mailed Dell Support concerning Dell Solution Center not working and they replied that this program does not work with SP2 and to uninstall it.

Make sure that you have microsoft.net 1.1 installed. That might help. If you have it, remove it and reinstall it.

Cornflakes, I have already un-installed Dell Solution Center and I have checked all my disks and this program is on none of them. So it looks like I cannot reinstall. What is microsoft.net 1.1? I could not find this doing a files search.

Microsoft.net framework would be in C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework if you have it.

Cornflakes, and JRosenfeld, yes I found Microsoft.net. I don't know what happened the first time I looked for it. I wonder why the Dell Downloads does not offer a download of Dell Solution Center. Oh well, I am sure in time I willforget all about not having this program any more. Thanks for your replies.

I posted in the XP forum,  that Dell Solution Center also does not work on my computer since I installed XP2.

I installed microsoft.net 1.1 via windows update - and Dell Ssolution Center still does not work.

scoobydooby, When I contacted Dell Support about this problem concerning Dell Solution Center not working- The reply was that this program does not work with sp2 and to uninstall it. Not the answer or fix I wanted to hear.  After I uninstalled this program I checked the discs that came with the computer and actually checked the programs on the discs and Dell Solution Center was not one of the programs. So if you do uninstall it the program is gone with no way of reinstalling. Dell Support also said to uninstall Dell Alerts. I unistalled Dell Alerts many months ago.

When I told you I was getting the Dell Solution Center, I clicked on the link for it through Help and Support and I was able to get in but then when I clicked on the other links in Dell Solution Center they came up Page Cannot be Displayed so I guess I will have to uninstall it as prescribed by Dell..   Lee

Everything Dell solution centre has is accessible through Help and Support with the Dell overlay
