Unable to connect to wireless after installing Windows SP3?

Hi All,

Just installed SP3 last night on desktop computers here and can't connect to wireless router now.  Any ideas what would cause this problem?  Possible fixes?

Thanks!

The links were removed.  You need to re-establish the wirerless router as if it were new.

Hello Lawrence,

Would you please explain which links you are referring to?  I actually reset the entire wireless system, and attempted to reconnect both desktop machines, but no go.

Thanks!

Hi Lawrence,

I just checked in device drivers and no yellow exclamation points... everything seems to be where it should be.  Guess this will be one for Comcast, unless anyone has any other ideas.  Seems pretty strange to me.

Thanks!

There are two places to ask for help since this did not work.  Try calling support at your internet provider or get support from the manufacturer of your wireless modem.  There is a list of problems if you search the forum for SP3 internet connections.  jmwills suggested looking in control panel/Device Manager: "Check the Device Manager and see if there is a Yellow Exclamation mark.  If so, the device needs a driver."  Get one to download at the support page of your modem brand.

Power cycle everything . . turn off the Modem . . Router and all pc's . . then turn on the Modem and let the lights stabilize ( 2-3 mins) then the router, then one pc at a time
