I have a Dell E5530 that I purchased through my school. (Hondros) For as long as I've had the machine it has not updated in Windows update properly. I get error codes 9c57 and 80070057. Things I have tried: Microsoft Fix-it (a million times) Windows update readiness tool Clean boot and update Run all spyware and virus software (Microsoft security essentials) then update Install manually Install updates one at a time Troubleshooting through Windows update I may just need to do a clean wipe and start over, but I really need my laptop this quarter and am tired of messing around with this.
