The AlienFX board cable conversion kit enables connectivity between the Area-51 chassis and a 3rd party motherboard while enabling all of the features specific to the Area-51 chassis such as AlienFX lighting, fan controls, Front I/O functionality, and powering on the system. Functionally, it is similar to the cabling found when building your own gaming desktop and wiring your chassis to the motherboard and associated components.
The Area-51 desktop is optimized and suited for gamers seeking a desktop that can be used indefinitely. Each Area-51 chassis itself includes the mechanical mounts to support ATX or mATX industry standard motherboards enabling future upgrades and system longevity.
Gamers seeking to upgrade from the original motherboard to a different one can purchase the AlienFX board conversion kit.
Do note, if the new 3rd party motherboard follows ATX12VO power form factor, then the power supply does not need to be changed. If the new 3rd party motherboard does not follow ATX12VO power formfactor then a new power supply will also be required.
