Dell provides a high efficiency power supply option with several desktop and mini-tower system configurations. These power supplies are advertised as 90% efficiency or higher.
The energy-efficiency sticker on the system power supply states "80 Plus Gold" and this rating is an industry standard.
An 80% Gold power supply provides 87% efficiency at 100% load. At a 50% load, it provides 90% efficiency or higher.
There are no power supplies in the industry that are 90% efficiency at all loads.
