Removing and Installing the I/O Card on Dell Compellent SC8000

The I/O card in a Dell Compellent SC8000 is a PCIe expansion card that connects storage controllers and other peripherals. Follow these steps carefully:

Power off the System and Disconnect all power cables and external connections.
Remove the Top Cover

Removing the I/O Card:
Locate the I/O Card, it will be inserted into a PCIe slot on the motherboard.
PCIe expansion card that you need to remove.
Release the PCIe latch (if present).
Pull the I/O card straight out of its slot.

Installing the I/O Card:
Align the new I/O card with the PCIe slot.
Push it in firmly until it is fully seated.

Reconnect all power and data cables.
Power on the SC8000 and check if the I/O card is detected in the BIOS or management interface.
