In this video, we will demonstrate how to replace the M.2 2230 or 2280 SSD on a Dell Pro 24 All-in-One Plus QB24250. To begin, turn off your computer and disconnect all peripherals. Ensure that you always use ESD protection when working inside the computer.
Place your computer display down on a clean and flat surface. Press and hold the securing tab, then slide the stand toward you and lift the stand off your computer. Press down on the securing tab then slide and lift to remove the back cover. Next, remove the six screws that secure the system board shield to your computer. With two hands, lift the system-board shield off your computer.
Now locate the SSD installed on the system board. There may be up to two SSDs installed on your system board. The procedure to remove and install the SSD in each slot is exactly the same. Remove the screw that secures the SSD in place. Then slide and lift it from the system board.
Before installing the replacement SSD, check if the screw mount is in the correct location for the form factor of your new SSD. To change the location of the screw mount. Remove the screw mount from one location and move it to the other.
To install the SSD. First, align the notch on SSD with the tab on the M.2 slot, then slide it in. Install the screw that secures it in place. Take the system board shield and place it over the system board. Install the six screws that secure it to your computer.
