OpenManage Integration for Microsoft System Center (OMIMSSC) provides integrations into the System Center suite of products that enable full lifecycle management of the Dell EMC servers by using the integrated Dell Remote Access Controller (iDRAC) with Lifecycle Controller (LC).
OMIMSSC is a software-based virtual Appliance that offers operating system deployment, hardware patching, firmware update, and server maintenance. With OMIMSSC, you can either integrate with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for managing the Dell EMC servers in traditional data center or use the integration with Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) for managing the Dell EMC servers in virtualized and cloud environments.
Supported Devices for Management:
- Support for 11th generation of PowerEdge servers is deprecated.
- Dell EMC PowerEdge MX 7000 chassis and its components.
Note : For all other supported devices refer “Compatible Systems” section below.
This release is the immediate successor of Dell EMC OpenManage Integration Version 7.2 for Microsoft System Center (OMIMSSC) for Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM)
Note:
- The associated Dell EMC Deployment Tool Kit (DTK) v6.4 is made available for latest iDRAC9 x5-based PowerEdge Servers, to be used with the OMIMSSC Pack only.
- DTK is End of Life product from Dell EMC. Hence using this version of DTK outside of OMIMSSC is not supported.
