Installing an application package using FTP server
1. Download the latest ThinOS packages that corresponds to your thin client model. If the firmware and packages are in the form of a compressed self-extracting (.EXE) or zipped file (.ZIP), then extract the files.
2. Place the extracted firmware files in the C:\inetpub\ftproot\WYSE\wnos folder, and the packages to C:\inetpub\ftproot\WYSE\wnos\pkg on your FTP server.
3. Create a wnos.ini text file (using a text editor) in the C:\inetpub\ftproot\WYSE\wnos folder with the following INI parameters:
Autoload=1 loadpkg=1 Addpkg=TCX,FR,horizon
4. Save the wnos.ini file.
5. To locate the ftp File Servers/Path from Wyse 3040 thin client, do the following:
5.1. On the ThinOS client desktop, navigate to System Setup > Central Configuration > General.
5.2. In the General tab, enter the IP address of the FTP server or directory, username and password. If FTP server supports Anonymous, enter the username as Anonymous, and enter the pre-configured password. You can also leave the username and password fields blank.
5.3. Click OK.
6. Restart the thin client and wait until the auto-installation of packages is complete.

Installing an application package using Wyse Management Suite via Public Cloud
1. Log in to the Wyse Management Suite public cloud and navigate to Apps & Data.
2. Go to App Policies and select Thin Client.
3. If a single application needs to be installed, click Add Policy.
3.1. Enter the Policy Name, Group, Task, and OS Type.
3.2. Select an appropriate application and click Save.
An alert message that prompts you to schedule the job now or later is displayed.
3.3. Click Yes to schedule the job immediately.
3.4. Enter a description and select the option to Run.
3.5. Click Preview and Schedule.

Installing an application package using Wyse Management Suite via Private Cloud
1. Download the appropriate Application package to repository/ThinClientapps.
2. Log in to the Wyse Management Suite private cloud and navigate to Apps & Data.
2. Go to App Policies and select Thin Client.
3. If a single application needs to be installed, click Add Policy. To install multiple applications, click Add Advanced Policy.
3.1. Enter the Policy Name, Group, Task, and OS Type.
3.2. Select an appropriate application and click Save.
An alert message that prompts you to schedule the job now or later is displayed.
3.3. Click Yes to schedule the job immediately.
3.4. Enter a description and select the option to Run.
3.5. Click Preview and Schedule.
