Fixes
1.The processor's L1 cache size in the SMBIOS does not report all cores of the processor.
The previous version of the BIOS reported the L1 cache size in the SMBIOS with one CPU core only. The user does not get the correct L1 cache size information from the SMBIOS.
The solution calculates the L1 cache size with all cores of the processor.
2.Enhance the performance of Windows 2012 by setting the CPU frequency to Turbo Mode speed while power management of SETUP is set at maximum performance mode.
The system does not run at turbo speed when the system power management is set at maximum performance mode.
The solution locks the processor frequency at Turbo Mode speed while system enables maximum performance.
3.Enhance the stability of Intel Xeon Phi coprocessor 7110P in thePowerEdge C8220X server.
There are PCIe AERs events recorded unexpectedly during stress testing.
The workaround clears this unexpected event before initializing the Intel Xeon Phi coprocessor 7110P device during BIOS power on self test.

Installation instructions

DOS package install instructions:
NOTE: You must provide a DOS bootable media, such as a USB key. This executable file does not create the DOS system files.

1. Browse to the location where you exact the PEC8220BIOS010201.exe.
2. Copy the dos folder of PEC8220BIOS010201 to the bootable device.
3. Boot the system to DOS by using the bootable device.
4. Run the dos\62201201.exe under DOS.
5. Waiting the update process completion automatically.

Windows package install instructions:
1. Browse to the location where you downloaded C8000_BIOS_RND0K_WN32_1.2.1.EXE or C8000_BIOS_RND0K_WN64_1.2.1.EXE files and double-click to launch update.
2. Click Install icon to continue.
3. Waiting the update process completion automatically.

Linux package install instructions:
1. Browse to the location where you downloaded C8000_BIOS_RND0K_LN_1.2.1.BIN file and run the file in command line.
2. Waiting the BIOS image loading finish and system backs to command line.
3. Run the reboot=k to proceed the BIOS update.
4. Waiting the update process completion automatically.
