IMPORTANT: After successful power supply firmware download, the managed system will turn off for a duration ranging from three to twenty minutes to continue updating the PSU firmware. Once the firmware update is complete, the managed system will reboot automatically.
CAUTION! Performing an AC power cycle or cold boot during power supply firmware update, forces the power supply unit to enter into an irrecoverable state and will cause managed system not to boot.

IMPORTANT: After a successful power supply firmware download, the managed system will turn off for a duration ranging from three to twenty minutes to continue updating the firmware. It is imperative not to disturb/restart manually the system, wait until the PSU FW update finishes. (Update time may vary depending on number of PSU for update, it may vary approximately from 10 mins to 20 mins.Margin should be added to ensure the Dell Update Package (DUP) is not interrupted. Once the firmware update is complete, the managed system will reboot automatically.
Instructions for ".BIN" File:
Download 1. Click the Download Now link to download the file. 2. When the "File Download" window appears, click Save to save the file to your hard drive.
Installation 1. Read the release information presented by executing the ".BIN" file with "--version" command from the shell. 2. Download and install any prerequisites identified in the above step before proceeding. 3. Run the update by executing ".BIN " file from the shell. 4. Follow the remaining prompts to perform the update. 5. Upon successful completion the DUP will prompt to reboot system. 6. Restart your system. After the system restarts, DUP will enter USC to complete the flashing of the PSU firmware. 7. The actual flash begins after DUP exits USC. Please do not power off or power cycle the system as this can result in a non-functional power supply. 8. Once the flashing process is complete the system should power back up and boot to OS.

Installation 1. Browse to the location where you downloaded the fileand double-click the new file. 2. Read the release information presented in the dialog window. 3. Download and install any prerequisites identified in the dialog window before proceeding. 4. Click the Install button. 5. Follow the remaining prompts to perform the update. 6. Upon successful completion the DUP will prompt to reboot system. 7. Restart your system. After the system restarts, DUP will enter USC to complete the flashing of the PSU firmware. 8. GnuPG Signature of Dell Update Package Instructions for ".sign" File:
Download 1. Click the "Download Now" link to download the file. 2. When the "File Download" window appears, click "Save" to save the file to your hard drive.
Installation 1. Import the Dell public key. (You only need to import once on your system.) 2. Verify the Dell Update Package by using its signature file. 3. Upon successful completion the DUP will prompt to reboot system. 4. Restart your system. After the system restarts, DUP will enter USC to complete the flashing of the PSU firmware. 5. The actual flash begins after DUP exits USC. Please do not power off or power cycle the system as this can result in a non-functional power supply. 6. Once the flashing process is complete the system should power back up and boot to OS.
