Unisphere for VMAX:
Storage array shows key icon next toserial number and a message:
"Symmetrix not licensed Click to load license"

Log in as "smc" user:
 
Note: There are nine other arrays that are seen in the dashboard that do not have any issues or similar symptoms.

User is able to go in to the array but missing management and other tabs:
 
Once there, user is unable to also select any check boxes to assign roles:

* Host is rebooted.
* Unisphere is installed as remote to a symapi server as are the remaining 9 arrays with no issues.
* License is loaded.

Entitlements with hierarchies are filtered as follows:
All hierarchies with the same alphabetic component ("AA" in this case) are filtered out so that ONLY the entitlements with the highest numeric component ("400" in this case) are installed. Lower numbered hierarchies are ignored.

In one situation, license that is applied is in this order:
(first) (last)
The last entry nullified previous loaded entitlements including the VMAX3_ADVANCED license.

Check the license hierarchy in the license file. In this case, license team created a license that had AA300's hierarchy's and left out the VMAX3_OS "AA400" one.
