A serial number (SN) as temppsnt may be used by establishing an IPMItool connection to the Unity.

Once the Dell SolVe procedure is done replacing the DPE, the original DPE SN is added to the new DPE PROM. The temppsnt SN for IPMItool is not needed. The original SN is used instead.

Run this command to establish the IPMItool if both the SN of the old DPE or the new DPE cannot log in to the storage processor (SP).

ipmitool.exe -I lanplus -C 3 -U console -P temppsnt -H 128.221.1.252 sol activate

ipmitool.exe -I lanplus -C 3 -U console -P temppsnt -H 128.221.1.253 sol activate
