Bug de PowerPath.
Lors d’une NDU VPLEX, un directeur VPLEX est tombé en panne quelques secondes après son retour. Cela a exposé un bug dans PowerPath lié à l’ouverture de périphériques, ce qui a entraîné la publication d’une version supplémentaire par PowerPath. Cette version supplémentaire entraîne une condition d’utilisation de type « Semi-Free » et un fonctionnement inattendu du noyau Linux.
Lors d’une NDU VPLEX, un directeur VPLEX est tombé en panne quelques secondes après son retour. Cela a exposé un bug dans PowerPath lié à l’ouverture de périphériques, ce qui a entraîné la publication d’une version supplémentaire par PowerPath. Cette version supplémentaire entraîne une condition d’utilisation de type « Semi-Free » et un fonctionnement inattendu du noyau Linux.
Lösung
PowerPath 6.1 HF1 et les versions ultérieures de PowerPath disposent d’un correctif pour ce bogue.
Weitere Informationen
Red Hat et PowerPath Engineering ont pu recréer la condition en laboratoire, indépendamment d’une mise à niveau sans perturbation VPLEX. En plus de la trace du client, plusieurs traces de panique différentes ont été observées.
En raison de la nature de l’utilisation après la gratuité, la panique réelle peut être observée à plusieurs endroits.
