PowerPath-feil.
Under en VPLEX NDU krasjet en VPLEX-direktør noen sekunder etter at den kom tilbake. Dette avslørte en feil i PowerPath relatert til enhetsåpninger, noe som fører til at PowerPath utsteder en ekstra utgivelse. Denne ekstra utgivelsen resulterer i en bruk-etter-fri tilstand og Linux-kjernepanikk.
Under en VPLEX NDU krasjet en VPLEX-direktør noen sekunder etter at den kom tilbake. Dette avslørte en feil i PowerPath relatert til enhetsåpninger, noe som fører til at PowerPath utsteder en ekstra utgivelse. Denne ekstra utgivelsen resulterer i en bruk-etter-fri tilstand og Linux-kjernepanikk.
Lösung
PowerPath 6.1 HF1 og fremtidige versjoner av PowerPath har en løsning på denne feilen.
Weitere Informationen
Både Red Hat og PowerPath Engineering var i stand til å gjenskape tilstanden i laboratoriet uavhengig av en VPLEX NDU. I tillegg til kundesporet var det flere forskjellige panikksporinger som ble sett.
På grunn av bruk-etter-fri kan den faktiske panikken sees flere steder.
