Symptome

I backup delle VM eseguiti tramite l'appliance vProxy NetWorker VMware Protection (NVP) hanno esito negativo con:

Ursache

vProxy tenta di disabilitare la migrazione delle VM (storage vMotion) prima del backup. Tuttavia, il vCenter Server è già stato impostato con un'opzione per disabilitare il riposizionamento della VM. Questa opzione può essere impostata dall'utente o da un'applicazione come un backup precedente utilizzando NVP. Se questa opzione è impostata da NVP, il flag deve essere cancellato al termine del backup, tuttavia un'interruzione errata del backup potrebbe causare l'esito negativo di questa procedura di pulitura.

Lösung

Procedura per verificare il problema:

  1. Accedere a vProxy come amministratore, quindi passare a root: sudo su - root
  2. Passa alla directory bin  
    cd  /opt/emc/vproxy/bin
  3. Eseguire il comando seguente per caricare il percorso della libreria: 
    source ../unit/vproxy.env
  4. Verificare se la migrazione è disabilitata con lo strumento "vmconfig":  
    ./vmconfig -c info -k "vm-MOREF" -l moref -p Password-for-vCenter -u username-for-vCenter -v vcentername

Se Migration Enabled è 'false', procedere con la seguente soluzione alternativa. Se Migrazione abilitata è vera, potrebbe essere necessaria un'ulteriore diagnosi. In questo caso, non è necessario applicare la soluzione alternativa.


Soluzione alternativa:

Eseguire lo strumento vmconfig con "enable-migration" per abilitare manualmente la migrazione 
./vmconfig -c "enable-migration" -k "vm-MOREf" -l moref -p **** -u username -v vcentername
Esempio: 
./vmconfig -c "enable-migration" -k vm-94 -l moref -p *** -u administrator@vsphere.local -v 10.1.2.3
