Symptome

The NetWorker Module for Microsoft (NMM) 19.10 takes SharePoint backup and fails to create snapshot on SQL Server component.
The issue is seen as intermittent.   
The symptom suggests it is a temporary issue with VSS shadow copy creation on the SQL server.
The error is:

Failed to initialize the Common VSS Requestor.

Ursache

Under was investigation with Dell engineering.

The most likely cause is high I/O activity on SQL Server at intermittent times, causing the VSS shadow copy to fail on larger content databases within SQL Server.

Lösung

The issue was intermittent in nature and resolved itself.
