Cause

De proxy is verbonden met ESX op poort 902 en probeert meer dan één keer verbinding te maken met de VM-schijf, maar mislukt vanwege een netwerkprobleem (zoals pakketverlies) met de volgende fout:

Resolution

Tijdelijkeoplossing:

  1. Host VMotion : de virtuele machine waarvan geen back-up kon worden gemaakt (hierboven bekend als "VM_Name") op een andere ESX-server.
  2. Voer op aanvraag een back-up uit van de gemigreerde virtuele machine.
  3. Zodra dit is voltooid, moet de klant contact opnemen met het netwerkteam om te controleren waarom er pakketten wegvallen tussen de proxy (hierboven "Proxy_Name") en de ESX (aangeduid met "esx_name").

Alternatieve tijdelijke oplossing:

Controleer de record van de ESX-server in DNS om te zien of de proxy die wordt gebruikt voor deze groepsback-up deze ESX-host kan oplossen met hetzelfde record.

Om dit te doen:

  1. Open een PuTTY naar de proxy die wordt gebruikt voor de back-up (bijvoorbeeld Proxy_Name).
  2. Voer de nslookup <esx_FQN> Opdrachten
  3. Als het resultaat negatief is, vraagt u de klant om het ESX-record op de DNS te wijzigen of elke proxy toe te voegen /etc/hosts bestand met de juiste ESX FQN en IP.
