The Windows 10 IoT image passwords have changed, effective in the 2308 release.

As per the Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) 7.0 guideline each device should have a unique password.

Using the serial number of each device (because it is unique):

  • Administrator accounts:
    • The default username is Admin
    • The default case-sensitive password is Admin#<serial number of the device>
  • User accounts:
    • The default username is User
    • The default case-sensitive password is User#<serial number of the device>
