Symptoms
The NetWorker server has undergone an IP address change which resulted in reapplying a new license with the new IP address, the validation process fails with the below error:
Cause
The NetWorker server is not resolving its network name and address correctly. The license validation process is failing with "invalid host."
Resolution
1. See KB article 000060654 to remove any unwanted IPv6 addresses.
2. If local hosts file (/etc/hosts) sees NetWorker server hostname with incorrect IP address, replace it with the correct IP address, or remove the entry if DNS is configured or resolvable for the NetWorker server.
