Resolution
Note: The Dell Universal Dock UD22 is working as designed in this situation. The dock's behavior is as expected under these circumstances.
The Dell Universal Dock UD22 works under these conditions with Duplicate mode set. It works under extended mode if both external devices are connected directly to the dock with the appropriate cabling.
However, if you require Extended mode and can only configure the monitors in the daisy chain format you must change to a different docking station model:
Dell docks which support extended mode and the monitor configuration:
- Dell Dock - WD19S
- Dell Performance Dock - WD19DCS
- Dell Thunderbolt Dock - WD19TBS
