Network Requirements
Dell BitLocker Manager requires:
- Endpoint to be hard-wired during product installation and activation.
- Network connectivity to the Dell Security Management Server (formerly Dell Data Protection Server) for authentication.
- By default, Dell Security Management Server uses ports:
- 8443 for activation
- 8888 for authentication
- IPV6 is not supported.
If Dell BitLocker Manager uses On-the-Box (OTB) entitlements (licenses), then cloud.dell.com over port 443 must be added to the allowlist.
Minimum hardware requirements:
- Intel Pentium or AMD Processor
- 110 MB of free disk space
- 512 MB RAM
- Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 or 1.2
