Dell Unity: Disabling RSC Authentication for CLI Access

Instructions

When selected, the RSC option allows authorized Dell Support to authenticate by using a unique one-time Dell generated credential. Customers are not required to provide Dell Support with an access credential. Once the authentication process passes, Dell Support is given both administrator and service roles when running UEMCLI commands, and the service role when running on-array CLI commands.

Steps:

  1. Log in to CLI as service 
  2. Run the below command to disable RSC authentication:

Unity OE 5.5.2 and earlier

uemcli -u admin -securepassword /sys/support/assist set -enableRsc no

Unity OE 5.5.3 and later

uemcli -u admin -securepassword /sys/support/connectivityservices set -enableRsc no
