Symptoms

Affected Products:

  • Dell Security Management Server
  • Dell Data Protection | Enterprise Edition

Policy Proxy:

Command failed: ERR-5040: Unexpected error. null

Compatibility Server:

ERROR HPM DefaultQuartzScheduler_Worker-8] - Unable to create assembly cache

Caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Element "" -> A valid value must match the pattern "^(\d

Cause

The cause for this error is due to having a nonvalid date format in one of the policies set. The current servers require the date to be in YYYY-MM-DD format.

Resolution

To resolve the issue:

  1. Identify the problem policy and the correct date.
  2. Save and Commit Changes.
  3. Restart Policy Proxy Service
