Symptoms
Following an OS recovery (Reset this PC), there are two Edge shortcuts displayed on the desktop. Both shortcuts are identical and function normally.
Cause
The icon is shown for a file type when Edge is registered as the default for the file association. Microsoft does not have distinct icons for other file types.
Resolution
There is no functional impact, manually delete either duplicate shortcut.
