Symptoms

When using NetWorker Clone Controlled Replication (CCR) with Data Domain DD Boost, it can appear as if there are some discrepancies. Sometimes, this discrepancy can be significant.

Cause

First check that NetWorker is replicating all that was planned to replicate.
There could be a misconfiguration in a Clone resource or script.

Resolution

Use the NMC, in the saveset view, to filter for savesets with copies=1.
This view will show savesets which do not have clones.

Alternatively, from the mminfo command can be used to report the number of copies for each saveset using the "copies" query keyword.
Consult the NetWorker Command Line Guide for more guidance on the mminfo usage.

Savesets with clones have a copy value of 2 or greater, depending on the number of clones.
Those savesets which have not been cloned. Can be cloned using a Clone resource or the nsrclone command.

In the same view note if the clones savesets are in the correct Data Domain device

If all savesets have been cloned to the correct device and a discrepancy can still be seen, contact Data Domain Support.
