Symptoms
Windows VM wordt af en toe uitgeschakeld.
Het Vmware.log-bestand, dat zich bevindt in vmfs/volumes op de host waarop de VM wordt uitgevoerd, geeft aan dat het gastbesturingssysteem het uitschakelen heeft geïnitieerd.
Logboekvermeldingen kunnen er ongeveer zo uitzien:

Cause
De wlms service initieert periodiek een uitschakeling omdat Windows niet is geactiveerd.
Wanneer u naar Windows Event Viewer op de VM kijkt, wordt de volgende fout weergegeven:
Event ID 1074: The process C:\Windows\system32\wlms\wlms.exe (VM_NAME) has initiated the shutdown of computer VM_NAME on behalf of user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM for the following reason: Other (Planned) Reason Code: 0x80000000 Shutdown Type: shutdown Comment: The license period for this installation of Windows has expired. The operating system is shutting down.
Resolution
Dit probleem kan worden opgelost door de Windows-VM te activeren met een geldige productsleutel.
