Symptoms
A VM do Windows desliga intermitentemente.
O arquivo Vmware.log, localizado em vmfs/volumes no host em que a VM está sendo executada, mostra que o SO convidado iniciou o desligamento.
As entradas de log podem ter a seguinte aparência:

Cause
A coluna wlms O serviço inicia uma desativação periódica devido à não ativação do Windows.
Ao analisar o Visualizador de Eventos do Windows na VM, ele mostra o seguinte erro:
Event ID 1074: The process C:\Windows\system32\wlms\wlms.exe (VM_NAME) has initiated the shutdown of computer VM_NAME on behalf of user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM for the following reason: Other (Planned) Reason Code: 0x80000000 Shutdown Type: shutdown Comment: The license period for this installation of Windows has expired. The operating system is shutting down.
Resolution
A ativação da VM do Windows com uma chave do produto válida resolve esse problema.
