Symptoms

Hyper-V 2016 RCT-Backups schlagen möglicherweise fehl oder werden mit Ausnahmefehlern ähnlich dem folgenden abgeschlossen:

avhypervvss Error <43426>: Checkpoint creation for Virtual machine 'DELLEMC1<VM GUID>' has failed and will be skipped from backup. For details, please check 'winclustersvc.log'.
avhypervvss Error <43426>: Checkpoint creation for Virtual machine 'DELLEMC2<VM GUID>' has failed and will be skipped from backup. For details, please check 'winclustersvc.log'.

avhypervvss Error <43408>: Failed to create RCT checkpoint for the targets.
avhypervvss Error <41674>: Failed to backup targets. Unable to snapshot targets.

Gehen Sie auf der winclustersvc.log (im Verzeichnis C:\Program Files\avs\var des Hyper-V-Hostcluster-Node) wie folgt vor:

Cause

Die übersprungenen VMs können keinen "anwendungskonsistenten" Snapshot erstellen. Die anwendungskonsistente Snapshot-Konsistenzstufe ist die Standardoption in der Avamar Hyper-V VSS-Dataset-Konfiguration. Weitere Ursachen sind veraltete Integration Services, fehlgeschlagene VSS Writer auf der VM usw.

 

Resolution

Führen Sie verwaiste Snapshots und erstellte separate Datenvolumen für anwendungskonsistente und absturzkonsistente Snapshots zusammen.

 

Additional Information

Anwendungskonsistente Backups sind die Standardeinstellung für Hyper-V VSS in Avamar.

  • Alle Aktivitäten des Gastbetriebssystems wurden angehalten.
  • Wenn die jeweilige Anwendung unterstützt wird, kann ihr VSS Writer angehalten werden (SQL Server Writer, Microsoft Exchange Writer usw.)
  • Der Snapshot wird erstellt
  • Die Aktivität des Gastbetriebssystems wird fortgesetzt
  • Der VSS Writer der Anwendung (SQL Server Writer, Microsoft Exchange Writer usw.) wird fortgesetzt

Die Unterstützung für die Handhabung bestimmter Anwendungen hängt vom jeweiligen VM-Umgebungsdesign ab. Service Pack-Ebenen, Proxykonfiguration und -version, Supporttools usw. können sich ebenfalls darauf auswirken.

Absturzkonsistente Backups nehmen keine Rücksicht auf Anwendungen innerhalb einer VM.

  • Alle Aktivitäten des Gastbetriebssystems wurden angehalten.
  • Der Snapshot wird erstellt
  • Die Aktivität des Gastbetriebssystems wird fortgesetzt.
