Avamar: Hyper-V 2016 back-ups mislukken "Het maken van een controlepunt voor virtuele machine is mislukt en zal worden overgeslagen uit de back-up

Hyper-V 2016 RCT-back-ups kunnen mislukken of worden voltooid, met uitzonderingsfouten die vergelijkbaar zijn met de volgende:

De overgeslagen VM's zijn niet in staat om een "applicatieconsistente" snapshot te maken. Applicatieconsistent snapshotconsistentieniveau is de standaardoptie in de configuratie van de Avamar Hyper-V VSS-dataset. Andere oorzaken zijn verouderde integratieservices, mislukte VSS-schrijvers op de VM, enzovoort.

Voeg zwevende snapshots samen en maak afzonderlijke datasets voor applicatieconsistente en crash-consistente snapshots.

Applicatieconsistente back-ups zijn de standaard Hyper-V VSS-instelling binnen Avamar.

• Alle activiteit van het gastbesturingssysteem is onderbroken
• Als de betreffende applicatie wordt ondersteund, kan de VSS Writer worden gepauzeerd (SQL Server Writer, Microsoft Exchange Writer, enzovoort)
• De snapshot wordt gemaakt
• De activiteit van het gastbesturingssysteem wordt hervat
• De VSS Writer van de applicatie (SQL Server Writer, Microsoft Exchange Writer, enzovoort) wordt hervat

Ondersteuning voor de verwerking van bepaalde applicaties is afhankelijk van het specifieke ontwerp van de VM-omgeving; Service Pack-niveaus, proxyconfiguratie en -versie, supporttools, enzovoort kunnen hier ook invloed op hebben.

Crash-Consistent Backups houdt geen rekening met applicaties binnen een VM.

• De activiteit van het gastbesturingssysteem wordt hervat.
