Some companies that purchase Dell computers use customized BIOS logos that, for example, show their company logo rather than the default Dell logo.
Reverting to the default Dell logo for any of the following reasons:
- Troubleshooting whether something is wrong with the custom logo
- Your company is looking to sell the computer
- Wanting to revert the logo back to the default Dell logo
To revert the BIOS logo to the default Dell logo, follow these steps:

Download the latest BIOS update for your particular model, see the following Dell Knowledge Base Article:

Note down the address of where the update is saved to.

Open an elevated command-line window:

Right-click the Start Menu Icon.

Choose the Command Prompt (with Admin rights) or PowerShell Window (with Admin rights) from the power user menu that appears.

Use the following command to go to the location of the saved BIOS update file:
C:\[directory where BIOS is located]\[BIOS update file name].exe -
Add the parameter
/DellLogoto the end of the address and press the Enter key:C:\[directory where BIOS is located]\[BIOS update file name].exe /DellLogo -
This runs the BIOS update and reverts the logo back to the default Dell logo.
