Symptoms

Na het upgraden van de Avamar-server naar 19.3 mislukt de dataverzameling voor Avamar met de volgende fout:

Connection to database mcdb failed: authentication method 10 not supported (-1)

 

Cause

Vanaf Avamar 19.3 is de methode voor externe verificatie bijgewerkt naar mdcd.

Het volgende bericht wordt weergegeven in het logboek van de agent:

Resolution

Ondersteuning voor de nieuwe authenticatiemethode voor Avamar is geïntroduceerd in DPA 19.3.
Upgrade de DPA data collection Agent naar 19.3 voor succesvolle authenticatie en dataverzameling.
