PowerEdge: Broadcom 5741x/57454/5750x Firmware update issue - SUP0550 error

Symptoms
Network controller firmware for Broadcom NetXtreme-E devices may fail to update firmware and display a "SUP0550" error in the Lifecycle (LCC) logs.
This issue can also be present on 13G, 14G, 15G, and 16G rack and tower servers and affect additional Broadcom NetXtreme-E adapters.

Cause
Per Broadcom NIC release notes, it is not possible to upgrade 5741x/57454/5750x adapters from firmware version 21.85.21.91, or earlier, to 22.00.x.y, or later, through iDRAC, or Lifecycle Controller.
Resolution
Workaround: Firmware release 21.85.21.92 provides an upgrade path to the latest firmware using iDRAC, or Lifecycle Controller. To upgrade to 22.00.x.y, or later, through iDRAC, or Lifecycle Controller, first upgrade to 21.85.21.92.
Alternative: upgrade to the 22.00.x.y firmware by running the firmware DUP from within a supported operating system.
