Symptoms

Front fan 1 requires attention for optimal performance.
Desc: A device in the chassis requires a fan type that does not match the configuration of the fan identified in the message. Some devices may experience varied performance and possible thermal errors depending on the configuration, workload, and environment.
Action: Replace the fan with a Gen2 fan during the next scheduled service. Dell recommends as soon as possible for optimal performance. For more information about recommended fan configurations, see the MX7000 User's Guide available on the support site.

Cause

De thermische en voedingsoptimalisatievereisten voor een MX7000 met MX760C-sleden waarvoor een geoptimaliseerd chassis nodig is, werden niet gecontroleerd voordat de sleden werden gekocht en geïnstalleerd.

Resolution

De volgende upgrades op het MX7000-chassis moeten worden gevolgd bij het installeren van MX760C-sledes na het verkooppunt:

  • MX7000 Gold grade (hardwareversie 2, Gen2) ventilatoren (klantenkit PN: H2YC5/SKU: SKU 750-ADWN; inbegrepen bij bestellingen van MX-oplossingen met MX760c)
  • Open Manage Enterprise - Modular (OME-M) firmwareversie 2.00.00
  • iDRAC versie 05.10.25 of 06.10.05
  • Enterprise Infrastructure Planning Tool (EIPT)
OPMERKING: Controleer bij het selecteren of upgraden van de systeemconfiguratie het energieverbruik van het systeem met de Enterprise Infrastructure Planning Tool om een optimaal stroomgebruik te garanderen.
 
OPMERKING: Om de thermisch geoptimaliseerde slede-naar-slottoewijzingen te genereren, voert u de MX-configuratie in de EIPT-tool in en klikt u op Optimaliseren.
