Symptoms

シナリオ

このシナリオでは、ユーザーはPowerFlex 16Gアプライアンスを使用しており、MVM (PFMP)ノード用に独自のRed Hat Enterprise Linuxイメージを使用しています。

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.10

PFMPのインストールは、第2ステージの74%で失敗します。

bedrock.logに次のエラーが表示されます。

fatal: [host1]: FAILED! => changed=false
 assertion: ansible_failed_task is ot defined and ansible_failed_result is not defined

問題 

PFMPを導入できません。

Cause

CMOでは、Helmチャートを適切にセットアップするためにUMASK022が必要です。UMASK027は、rootにrwx権限、グループにr-x権限を与え、その他のグループには権限を与えません。

Resolution

Fix:

3つすべてのMVM(PFMP)ノードでUMASK値を変更します。

UMASKを0022に変更するには、次の手順を実行します。

  1. UMASK値の更新 
vi /etc/login.defs
   Update the line UMASK 027 ---> UMASK 022
   save it.
  1. 構成をロードします。
source /etc/profile
  1. シェルを終了し、再ログインします

最新の構成がアップデートされます。#テスト: 新しいファイルを作成すると、644の権限で作成されます

値の変更後:

  • PFMPインストーラーのリセット
/opt/dell/pfmp/PFMP_Installer/scripts/reset_installer.sh
  • PFMPインストーラーのセットアップ
/opt/dell/pfmp/PFMP_Installer/scripts/setup_installer.sh
  • PFMPインストールの開始
/opt/dell/pfmp/PFMP_Installer/scripts/install_PFMP.sh


Dell PowerFlex 4.6.xリリース ノートには、次のように記載されています(18):

Symptom: The PowerFlex management platform installation process requires that the umask be set to the Linux default (022). If you have changed the default umask setting, the helm images do not have the correct permissions when it comes time to pull the images.
 
Recommended action: Change umask to 022.
