Cause

Den DEV_F16_CMN fejl på en switch i Cisco MDS 9000-serien indikerer typisk et hardwareproblem relateret til F16 ASIC. Denne fejl resulterer ofte i, at modulet genstarter på grund af en uoprettelig ECC-fejl (Error-Correcting Code) med flere bit.

Resolution

Den eneste måde at gendanne en grænseflade fra hw_Failure er at genindlæse modulet forstyrrende.

Hvis grænsefladerne er i en midlertidig hardwarefejl, kan status gendannes ved modulgenindlæsning. Hvis grænsefladerne har en permanent hardwarefejl, skal du fortsætte med moduludskiftning.
