Cause
De DEV_F16_CMN-fout op een Cisco MDS 9000 serie switch duidt meestal op een hardwareprobleem gerelateerd aan de F16 ASIC. Deze fout leidt er vaak toe dat de module opnieuw wordt opgestart als gevolg van een onherstelbare ECC-fout (multi-bit Error-Correcting Code).
Resolution
De enige manier om een interface van hw_Failure te herstellen, is door de module onderbrekend opnieuw te laden.

Als de interfaces zich in een tijdelijke hardwarestoring bevinden, kan de status worden hersteld door de module opnieuw te laden. Als de interfaces een permanente hardwarestoring hebben, gaat u verder met het vervangen van de module.
WAARSCHUWING: De activiteit is storend en moet worden uitgevoerd tijdens het onderhoudsvenster.
