Cause

Den DEV_F16_CMN feilen på en svitsj i Cisco MDS 9000-serien indikerer vanligvis et maskinvareproblem relatert til F16 ASIC. Denne feilen fører ofte til at modulen starter på nytt på grunn av en uopprettelig ECC-feil (Multi-bit Error-Correcting Code).

Resolution

Den eneste måten å gjenopprette et grensesnitt fra hw_Failure er å forstyrre modulen på nytt.

Hvis grensesnittene er i en midlertidig maskinvarefeil, kan statusen gjenopprettes ved å laste modulen på nytt. Hvis grensesnittene har en permanent maskinvarefeil, fortsett med modulutskifting.
