Dell System Update (DSU) may keep offering a version 6.00.22 update for AMD SMBus Driver v5.12. This causes AMD Chipset v6.0.22 DUP to keep attempting to update while the host remains noncompliant.
Cause
Inventory Collector component versions 24.06 and older within DSU are inventorying the AMD SMBus Driver as a separate updateable component even though its version 5.12 driver.
Inventory Collector marks AMD Chipset driver suite as updateable to 6.0.22, despite DUP already updating the AMD SMBus Driver component separately.
Resolution
This behavior has been fixed with Inventory Collector v24.09 to only inventory the main AMD Chipset version and no longer also identify the AMD SMBus Driver version separately.
To install Inventory Collector v24.09, connect the server to the Internet and run DSU again which automatically downloads the latest Inventory Collector and Catalog.
