PowerStore: System Health Checks detected an ICD Network Connectivity issue

Instructions

System Health may display a message Following ICD IPs are Non-PINGABLE: < list >. (KB#000196193) in one of the following scenarios:
 

  • Running a System Check using PowerStore Manager (UI) with the Run Upgrade Extensions option:

Tip: The Profile field displays Upgrade Extensions when the Run Upgrade Extensions option is used to perform a System Check.
 
  • Running a System Check using PowerStore Manager (UI) with the Run System Check option:

Tip: The Profile field displays Service Engagement when the Run System Check option is used to perform a System Check.
 
  • Running the System Health Service Script (svc_health_check) using an SSH connection:

This above message indicates that the nodes of an appliance do not properly communicate with the Top of Rack (ToR) switch. There is the risk of failure of a software upgrade (NDU) if the cluster is using file (NAS) when this condition is detected. This condition must be corrected before NDU is attempted for clusters using file (NAS).

Note: For clusters that are not using file (NAS), this condition may be ignored.
