Symptoms
Following I/O Module conversion to V2 or adding a new I/O module (SLIC), when activation was not successfully completed, may result in either:
- NVMe expansion enclosure (ENS24) connectivity issues, or
- Host connectivity (failure to map volumes or configure network bonds/connectivity)
Cause
An I/O module procedure is not followed, and the I/O module is not activated.
A consecutive NDU to PowerStore version early to 4.1 may have occurred, which will activate the I/O module while skipping some required configuration as part of this process flow.
Resolution
If this issue occurs, contact technical support for assistance.
